Saving for Housing
My son who lives with me keeps telling me to save money in case I have to go into a nursing home. On my SS there's no way I could save enough to pay my own way without State help. How do you feel?

You and your son need to sit down and do some realistic calculations about your future plans. If you are just getting by on what you now have, then saving money may not be possible. Look into the cost of nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or any other living situation you’re considering. Find out from your local Agency on Aging if you may be eligible for any financial assistance. Now is the time to do your homework, and don’t feel bad asking your son to help you find this information.
