When to Go to a Rest Home
What age should an elderly go to a rest home?
Dallas in Michigan, 49
Most people want to stay in their own environment for as long as possible to age-in-place. With the new technologies on the market, it’s easier to monitor someone in their own home. There is no specific age for going into a nursing facility. A nursing facility placement should only happen when an individual can no longer function independently and safely at home. It’s also time to move an elder when he or she cannot be managed or cared for in their own home.
