- CAREGIVER TRAINING
I’m always feeling guilty because I don’t know how to be a good caregiver for my father who I have to visit at least 5 times a week. Please help!
Jackson in Wisconsin, 48
It’s very common for caregivers to feel guilty, but please stop feeling this way starting right now. Guilt is a wasted emotion. I find it so unproductive. Guilt brings up old issues that drag you down. It deprives you of thinking clearly. I can’t always help from feeling guilty, but I try my hardest not to indulge in it. Instead, it’s important to turn a negative emotion into a positive one. You have enough issues on your plate. Being as productive as possible needs to be your ultimate goal.
