Stay Positive as a Caregiver

I’m a caregiver for my mother who is not doing well at 89 years old.  I also work full time, so it’s very hard for me to keep going sometimes.  I don’t have a question other than wondering what you think about that.

Being a working caregiver can be very rewarding.  It means a lot when an elder loved one in need looks to your for help.  That doesn’t mean it’s easy.  I know that caregiving can drain your energy, and that you can sometimes feel like you have a dark cloud over your head.  But stay positive.  When you’re in a negative mindset, it’s hard to find solutions, either at home, as a caregiver, or on the job.  Simply think about how you can turn a situation around so you can feel lighter and think clearer, and then work toward a solution.
