Coming Down With Alzheimer's
How can you tell if someone is coming down with alzheimer's or is just confused? My parents are constantly having me repeat myself after a matter of minutes or are trailing off mid-sentence and I am not sure what is going on! Is this just a normal consequence of aging?

If you’re concerned about someone repeating their questions, or trailing off in mid-sentence, you must bring this lack of concentration or memory to the attention of your parents’ primary physician. The doctor has the ability to test your parents’ memory loss and determine if it has occurred (and to what extent). The earlier this is addressed the better for everyone involved.
